Detail Link is an automotive cosmetic repair and reconditioning shop in Rockville, Maryland. We bring nearly two decades of automotive experience to every repair, with honest communication, careful work and results we're proud of.
A note from Shawn
I began my journey in the automotive industry in 2008, in the car wholesale business. Wholesale taught me how to evaluate a vehicle quickly: how to recognize cosmetic damage, estimate repair costs and understand the market. Over time, I learned to assess vehicle damage in about 30 seconds, with a level of accuracy that only years of experience can build. That eye for detail is still the foundation of everything we do.
In 2016, I expanded into retail car sales. Retail taught me the other side of this industry: that a sale is only the beginning. Long-term relationships, honest communication and quality you can stand behind are what earn a customer's trust, and keep it.
When COVID-19 arrived, small businesses like ours faced real challenges. It became a turning point for me. Instead of walking away from the industry I love, I chose to rebuild around what I knew best.
By then, I had years of hands-on experience understanding damage, sourcing parts, working with suppliers and choosing the right repair for every kind of cosmetic issue. I realized I could bring everything I'd learned in wholesale and retail into one repair business built on quality, efficiency, transparency and care.
In August 2020, I started repairing vehicles under the name Detail Link. Since then, through August 2026, our team has worked on more than 9,000 vehicles.
Along the way, we've earned many kind reviews, referrals from happy customers, and repeat business from people who first knew us through our car retail days. Those relationships mean the most to me. They show that trust and quality still matter long after the job is done.

How we work
We take a close look. As soon as your vehicle arrives, we take initial photos and do a careful walk-around to record its condition.
We show you everything. Photos of all four corners and every damaged area are included with your estimate, so you see exactly what we see.
You decide. Your estimate arrives by email, and you approve it with a simple digital signature. Nothing begins until you're comfortable.
No surprises. If we find hidden damage once parts come off, we'll show you and send an updated estimate before we go any further.
The price you agreed to. If nothing new comes up, your car is finished and your final price is exactly what you approved.
We do body, dent, paint and wheel repair, plus full detailing, all under one roof, for drivers and dealerships across Rockville, North Bethesda, Bethesda, Potomac and Gaithersburg. Every paint and body repair is backed by our warranty.
